The Admission to the courses takes place during the month of June, soon after publication of the results of H.S. Examination of W.B. Council of H.S. Education, I.S.C. and C.B.S.E. candidates will also receive application forms at the same tome.

The College admits students to the first year Degree Courses on the basis of Calcutta University Norms and Departmental Stipulations of the College.



Documents to be submitted at the time of Admission :

a) Duly filled in Admission Form.

b) Two recent passport size Photographs.

c) Proof of Date of Birth [attested copy of Admit Card of Madhyamik or eqivalent Examination]. Original Crtificates are to be produced at the time of admission.

d) Attested Copy of Marksheet of Madhyamik or eqivalent Examination.

e) Attested Copy of Marksheet of Higher Secondary or eqivalent Examination.

f) Attested Copy of SC/ST Certificate is to be produced at the time of admission.

g) Migration Certificate (in original) for a migrating student.

h) Students getting transferred from other colleges are to produce original Transfer Certificate.



It is mandatory to maintain strict discipline within the classroom and the college premises elsewhere and to maintain strict silence in the corridors.

Regular attendance in the class and performance in the examinations (periodical, half-yearly, annual and selection tests) are the criteria for promotion to higher classes. Sincere efforts are made by the College Authorities to solve the different problems that students have to face.

The College further provides excellent opportunities to the students to make access to the teachers within the college hours and premises for any academic difficulties they may face in course of their lesson preparation.




Regular candidates are required to take initiative to obtain Registration Certificate from the University. Registration Forms are required to be filled in at the time of admission and the college will not be responsible for registration of those students who take transfer from the college.

Students migrating from other University/Education Board/Councils are admitted to the College provisionally on production of the Migration Certificate from such University/Education Board/Council.

After such admission they shall apply to the Calcutta University through the Principal of the College, for getting the admission confirmed.

The following documents are required for the purpose :

1. Admit Card of Xth & 10+2 or its equivalent examinations.

2. Pass Marksheet of (10+2) or its equivalent examinations.

3. Migration Certificate (Original).

4. Student' s visa in favour of the College (in case of overseas students). The College will not be responsible if the University does not sanction migration to such candidates and in such cases the provisional admission gets cancelled.


Caution Money - Geog Pass - Rs. 100/-, Hons. - Rs. 200/-, B.Sc. Hons. - Rs. 400/-, Pure Sc. without Computer - Rs. 200/-, Pure Science with Computer - Rs. 300/-, Biological Science - Rs. 300/-

Library Deposit - For all Hons. Student - Rs. 200/-, For all General/Pass Student - Rs. 100/-



Note :

  1. Fees and charges are non-refundable except the caution money deposit & library deposits. When a student passes the University Examination, or leaves the college for reasons whatsoever; these deposits are refunded on submission of the " deposit receipt". However during the tenure of the studentship if some losses are incurred to the College due to reasons related to damage in laboratory equipments etc. or for reasons related to non-return of library book etc. necessary deductions are made from the caution money deposit and library deposits. Claims for refund are to be made within two years from the date of leaving the College by student.
  2. Students are to pay their fees on or before 20th of every current month at the Oriental Bank of Commerce, Sammilani Mahavidyalaya after getting necessary endorsement from the College. Fees will be received by the bank on weekdays (excepting holidays) within the banking hours.
  3. Students have to pay their fees on or before 20th of every current month failing which their names will be struck off from the register and re-admission will be permitted only after payment of usual fees. Further a fine will be charged Rs. 5.00 per month of default.
